Numerical Analysis of Air Flow in an Industrial Refrigeration System and Its Effect on Energy Consumption

Refrigerated display cabinets as a type of cooling system is preferable commonly in food shops and grocery store to prevent foods from warm air. They do not have much more efficient compared the with glass doors because interactions between air curtain. This paper presents experimental numerical methods seek energy performance horizontal refrigerated terms design parameters. Two geometry with/without airfoil were designed evaluated effects discharge velocity create 2D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model was performed assess effect flow on load cabinet. The results showed that has increased efficiency curtain achieving effective curtain, resulted mitigation ambient infiltration into return temperature cabinet decreased 272.45 K 270.62 one without due In this way, capacity refrigeration been by 3.82% usage.
